ISLAMABAD (May 05, 2009): Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) has declined by eight per cent during the first eight months of current fiscal to $3.0421 billion against $3.306 billion in the same period of last year, according to Ministry of Finance's "Review of Economic Situation".
US senators present Pakistan aid bill
KARACHI (May 05, 2009): The Kerry-Lugar bill, a legislation which would triple non-military aid to Pakistan for the next one decade, was presented in the US Senate on Monday, Aaj TV reported. The bill has been jointly tabled by Senator John Kerry, who head the power Foreign Relations Committee of the US Senate, and Senator Lugar.
Shahbaz calls for healthy and sustainable economic growth

SIALKOT (May 05, 2009): Chief Executive Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) Syed Mohib Ullah Shah said that a new export strategy has been chalked out for enhancing export volume. The TDAP has focused on exploring Asian and other neighbouring markets, which had not been paid proper heed in the past, he said.
